How long does a typical installation process take?
Most installations are completed on the same day after preparations are finished. The time it takes for the skylight(s) to be ordered or custom built varies, instock, a few weeks or 6 to 8 weeks for many custom orders. We will go over the time table in detail as we learn about your project.
How do I choose the right skylight for my building?
Start with your roof type (flat vs. sloped), structural span, insulation goals (U-factor), solar control (SHGC/visible light), code and wind/snow loads, and maintenance access. We size and specify to those constraints, then pick glass, polycarbonate, or acrylic glazing accordingly.
What are the types of commercial skylights you install?
AS Velux's only Skylight Installation Specialists of Rhode Island we offer Metal Framed, Horizon Series as well as Unit Skylight installations. Each have their place and benefits and we will review with you at your consult.
